The Vida Cantina building still bears traces of the Friendly’s restaurant that once inhabited it. This variation on the Fribble, Friendly’s signature milkshake, often appears on the summer dessert menu. Its unique texture comes from making a simple homemade frozen milk base, then blending that with fresh berries.

  1. It looks like this is just basically vanilla ice cream and blueberries so could be made without an ice cream maker. But I am definitely going to try this the next time I make ice cream!

    1. The Fribble taste and feel is with ice milk, not ice cream. I suspect ice cream will be fine, but it is NOT a “Fribble” clone.

  2. Same question as Thomas. Can you just freeze milk, sugar and vanilla and then place in Blender? Also can you use sugar substitutes (like Equal, stevia, etc. land still get same result.?
