Even as a Midwesterner by birth, I know to say “skawlops.” We lived for a number of years in Marblehead. I still miss it! I especially miss the fresh swordfish, which I won’t eat anywhere but in New England, where I know it’s fresh!
This sounds absolutely delicious! Yes, however, guilty of the mispronunciation but not from here on out… Going to try this dish and hoping it does not have a fishy taste as do some mussel and clam dishes.
