2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 eggs, separated
1-1/4 cups milk
4 tablespoons melted butter
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Beat egg yolks well and combine with milk; add to dry mixture and beat until smooth; add melted butter, then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. To prevent overflow, turn into hot waffle iron enough batter to partly fill each compartment. Close iron and bake until steam is no longer visible.
