Scenes from the Nantucket Daffodil Festival

A collection of images celebrating the Nantucket Daffodil Festival, when a sea of yellow envelops the island for one weekend every April.

A white lighthouse with a red roof is decorated with a large yellow flower wreath. Three people are fishing near the base, standing on rocks by a calm blue sea under a clear sky.

Photographer Carl Tremblay captured the spirit and color of the island during the Nantucket Daffodil Festival in 2013 for the 2014 Yankee feature “One Million Daffodils.” Please enjoy this collection of some of our favorite photos from this beloved spring Nantucket event. It has been canceled for 2020 in response to the COVID-19 health crisis, but we look forward to seeing it return in 2021!
