Mt. Washington Valley, NH — December 13-14, 2008, is the weekend the Country Inns in the White Mountains assure holiday revelers the ultimate in sweet dreams at the 12th Annual Inn to Inn Holiday Cookie and Candy Tour.
Participants will tour 15 inns decked in their holiday finery and offering holiday cookies and candies, and once again be treated to a display of gingerbread sculptures, collector’s ornaments, and recipe collections from each inn. Proceeds benefit area nonprofit associations.
The 15 inns on the Tour will feature exquisite decorations, offering tour goers the bonus of holiday decorating ideas. Tour goers will take home recipes for the treats featured, creating a keepsake collection of tested holiday cookies and candy recipes to use at home. Additionally, tour participants visiting all 15 properties will receive a keepsake brass collector’s ornament.
The tour stretches from Harts Location, to Chocorua, NH, and over to Fryeburg, ME, with 15 inns opening their doors to those in search of a great sugar high. No inn is more than 15 minutes from the next, with many much closer. Each participating inn will offer two tickets (a $54 value) with their cookie tour package, including a two-night stay and breakfast for two each day. Some inns have added dinners to their packages. Those not wishing to reserve an overnight package may purchase tickets December 1-10, 2008, for $27 per person by calling 800-233-8309. Tickets are limited. Any unreserved tickets will be sold for $27 per person on the day of the event at 1785 Inn, Admiral Peary House, Notchland Inn, and Riverbend Inn.
