New Cookbooks We Love

If you look forward to Yankee‘s “Food” section each issue, you probably love trying new recipes. Great cookbooks cross my desk all the time. Here are a few recent ones that have caught my eye–and my palate.

    I was glad to hear you gave Home Creamery the thumbs up. I was intrigued by the idea of making my own cheese, but wasn’t sure about the recipes.

    A book that I am especially fond of is Nigel Slater’s Kitchen Diaries. Makes one want to get cooking right away, and the end result is always yummy. I love his casual, down-to-earth approach to food, no unnecessary fuss. I also like James Martin’s Desserts. He’s a big star in the UK but apparently hasn’t crossed the pond (yet).
