Mt. Washington Trek

On one of those spring days when all appeared sunny and warm, I packed up my five children and headed for the summit of Mt. Washington. This is a picture of the kids at the halfway shanty then called “Howard Johnson’s.” The rest of the climb almost turned into a memory that we’d like to forget but we made it through freezing fog and thick clouds and rode down with the sissies who had climbed up by Chevrolet.
