Jones Stone Arch Bridge

This stone arch bridge is located in Hillsborough, NH. It is one of many located in Hillsborough. This particular bridge dates back to approximately 1840. The bridge was named after Captain Jonathan Carr, who was a counterfeiter and would stuff some of his money into new bridges he was helping to build. A very interesting story. The original name of the bridge was the Carr Stone Arch Bridge.

A stone bridge with two arches spans over a calm creek surrounded by autumn foliage and trees.
