“Market” is a misnomer for the weekly produce carnival staged in the Mad River Valley every summer Saturday—with jam bands, raffles, artisanal pottery, and neighbors of all stripesIt seems that the entire population of the Mad River Valley turns out to partake in a boisterous round of festivities: face painting, arts and crafts, live music, picnicking, and more. More than 60 vendors; space is equally shared among agricultural, craft, and prepared-food booths. Saturdays 9am-1pm, May-October.–Yankee Magazine, July/August 2011
