The Inn on Trout River

Hosted by Michael and Lee Forman (Lee is the inn’s chef, loves to cook, and was featured on television; Michael maintains the grounds and loves to golf; they have 3 grandchildren). An 1895 country Victorian located in a Vermont Historic District in the town of 7 covered bridges. The honeymoon suite features a brass bed and Franklin stove. The inn is near Jay Peak ski area, and there is fine dining on-site at Lemoine’s.The lovely Inn on Trout River (241 Main St., Montgomery Center; 802-326-4391; troutinn.com), a real-deal country lodging place filled with antiques and a homey vibe.
