The Gryphon House

The Gryphon House is one of those places that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s home. A luxury bed and breakfast only two blocks from Kenmore Square, the Gryphon is a turn-of-the-century brownstone, built in 1895, with eight gorgeous suites. The Gryphon boasts a Victorian parlor with gilded moldings & mirrors, a grand lobby with Zuber wallpaper, and a helpful staff readily available to assist you. Each room offers unique decorative touches, such as stained glass or silk lampshades, antiques, and fine art. All of the accommodations include a mini-kitchenette, gas fireplace, large private bath featuring oversized Kohler tubs and showers, HD television, air-conditioning, Internet connection, and comfortable lounging and work areas complete with wireless internet.The Riverview room overlooks the Charles River, and is decorated with an Arts & Crafts theme featuring Mission furniture and stained-glass lights and sconces. Sanctuary is a full studio apartment that can accommodate three people. It is decorated with a Neo-Gothic theme, and it looks out onto the front yard. Aerie is a fourth-floor room with a view of Bay State Road and Beacon Street. Its Art Noveau theme reflects the late 19th century architecture of Gryphon House’s neighborhood.The Gryphon House is within walking distance from so many of the best places in Boston: the Museum of Fine Arts, Fenway Park, and Copley Square.
