Merck Forest and Farmland Center is an educational non-profit that strives to teach, demonstrate, and sustain a working 60 acre farm and 3,100 forested landscape. We offer recreational opportunities, including 30 miles of trials for equestrian, hiking, snowshoeing, and x-country skiing. There are backcountry cabins and shelters for rent and dispersed tent camping. Enjoy our pastured pork and lamb, you-pick berries, eggs, organic syrup, and family-fun farm activities.More than 3,000 acres of Vermont’s working landscape were preserved in the 1950s in the Taconic Mountains. Farm and forest discovery hikes stretch between Mount Antone and Spruce Peak, with more-strenuous treks reaching each summit. Cabins, shelters, and campsites are dispersed throughout. Voted BEST FARM-TO-FOREST HIKING.
