Boil while stirring until smooth and thick, about 5 minutes. Stir in the vanilla and nutmeg. Lemon Sauce Instructions Follow directions for Vanilla Sauce, but omit the vanilla and add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind.
