Lavender Rose Tea Garden
- SWEETHEART SCONES RECIPE
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, frozen
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Sugar, for sprinkling
InstructionsPreheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Combine the flour, 1/3 cup sugar, 1
Teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a
Mixing bowl. Grate butter into flour mixture. Beat in egg and sour cream
Just combined. Stir in strawberries and chocolate chips. Turn dough onto a
Lightly floured surface and knead gently. Pat dough into a circle about 3/4"
Thick and cut as desired. Place scones on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12
