Snickers Salad

I found this recipe on an online site and thought it was a dish I could take to a get-together and it would be something no one had probably had before. There is no cooking involved which made it a plus for me. If you can’t have nuts or don’t like Snickers, try using Milky Way or your favorite candy bar and see what you get.

Yield: 6-8 servings

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 12-ounce container Cool Whip, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 6 Snickers bars, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 4-6 Granny Smith apples, cut into bite-size pieces

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until thoroughly blended. Add Cool Whip and blend, then stir in Snickers and apples. Chill for one hour before serving.
  • This is a wonderful recipe to bring to a family gathering. I made it with Milky Way candies and it was wonderful.

On Saturday I had a cookout for several family members who had birthdays that week. I was looking for something new to make and found this recipe. Everyone really liked it a lot. No one had ever tasted anything quite like it, so refreshing, cool, and crisp on a summer’s eve. I loved that it was so easy to make. I’ll be making this one again.
