Mexicali Manwiches

My husband always had to take a lunch to work, so I always tried to find or make something different instead of plain old sandwiches.

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/2 pound frankfurters, sliced
  • 1 can manwich sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 hot dog buns, toasted

Instructions

In skillet brown beef and celery until the celery is transparent; drain fat. Add franks, manwich sauce, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes. Spoon into toasted buns.
