Yield: 6-8 servings

  • 2-1/2 pounds 90% lean ground beef
  • 1 box herb flavored stuffing mix*(6-oz)
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 jar mushroom flavored gravy (12-oz)
  • 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Mix stuffing, 1/4 cup gravy, water, eggs, pepper and onion in a large bowl. Add meat and combine. Line a baking pan with tin foil lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Shape meat into four ovals and place in pan, top each with remaining gravy.

Bake about 30 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Slice and use a spatula to transfer to serving dish.

*any flavor stuffing can be substituted, if using an onion flavored one you may omit the 1/4 cup onion.

Additional Notes:

This is my version of a Kraft recipe for meatloaf. It's easy to make and very good.
