Jalapeno-Lime Butter

Yield: 8 tablespoons


  • 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped fine
  • juice from 1/2 lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


In a food processor, process ingredients together until smooth. Using plastic wrap, roll into a log, wrap it, and chill until firm.

Additional Notes:

Allow chilling time.
  • This recipe is meant for Mahi mahi (also in this recipe index). The Mahi mahi itself was kind of blah — but this butter is wonderful!
