Chocolate Mousse Pie
Grandma Goldcart’s famous … we could not possibly have Thanksgiving Day without… CHOCOLATE MOUSSE PIE
- 1 ready-made graham cracker piecrust
- 1 package 7-ounce semi-sweet chocolate pieces
- 1/2 pint heavy cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Separate 2 eggs. Beat the 2 egg whites until stiff. Beat the heavy cream. Melt chocolate over hot water (double boiler). Once melted remove from heat. Add 1 whole egg. Mix well. Add the 2 egg yolks, one at a time, and mix after each addition. Fold in egg whites and whipped cream. Add vanilla. Pour into piecrust and refrigerate until firm.
