Beginners Sourdough Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 3 tbsp warm water
  • 2 cups starter
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp powdered milk
  • 2 tbsp veg. oil
  • 3 to 4 cups flour

Instructions

grease 9"x5" pan

Combine all - and beat until well blended
gradually stir in enough flour to make a medium-stiff dough

turn onto floured surface
knead 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic
Add flour as needed.
Shape into loaf - put in pan - cover with damp towel and let rise in warm spot 1-2 hours until doubled in size

350deg - 50 to 60 minutes (until sounds hollow)
