Rub the night before, then wrap. Heat grill on high, wrap in foil, fat side down for 15 minutes, turn down low for about an hour … you cannot go wrong!

I am so glad you had this recipe on your web site. I lost it and I thought is was gone forever. This is the best barbecue recipe I ever tasted–it is far better than any of the others I have tried in the Carolinas.

  • This is, by far, the best rub recipe I have ever tried. Everyone who tried my ribs with this recipe raved about the flavor. In the past I have spent $7 – $10 for premade rubs. None of them compare to this!

Excellent! I just changed the recipe to 2 tsp. of cayenne … needed more heat!

You will not be sorry trying this rub.
It gives those country style ribs a nice spicy flavor. This recipe makes a large amount. I keep it in a large shaker and keep it refrigerated.
