March is a great time to observe waterfowl such as ducks, geese, and swans that have traveled to overwintering grounds here in RI. Join us as we search the Sakonnet River and nearby Gardiner Pond for waterfowl. Along the way we will learn the importance of shape, size, and field marks while exploring an often-overlooked family of birds. Parking is at the Third Beach Education Center (across from Peabody’s Beach). Dress warmly for the weather.
